Daughter of RSP executive wins coveted Annual NASA Contest 2017.

Miss Eeshanee Tripathy, daughter of Dr. Susmita Das, NIT, Rourkela and Mr. Somnath Tripathy, DGM (Projects-Materials Management), RSP has brought laurels to the Steel City by bagging the First Prize in the Grade XI Category of the prestigious NASA AMES Space Settlement Design Contest 2017, hosted by NASA and the National Space Society (NSS). Her project “The Space Settlement of AURA” is based on innovative designs and futuristic science as well as technologies feasible in space. She has been invited by NSS to attend and present her project work in the 36th Annual International Space Development Conference (ISDC) at ST Louis, USA from 25th to 29th May 2017.Her project was selected from over 1500 submissions from students all over the world. She is the only student from Odisha State to win the contest this year.
Recently Eeshanee was felicitated by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India as the Best Child Scientist of Odisha for winning 1st prize in the State and also representing the State in the National Childrens’ Science Congress. The multi talented Eeshanee is also a recipient of the Junior Fellowship in Odishi Dance for six years from Department of Culture, Govt. of India. She wants to pursue a career in Engineering like her parents and elder brother Siddharth.
